Within an international research project in cooperation with companies from The Netherlands, France, Spain, Finland and Turkey, ViNotion has developed an autonomous pan-tilt-zoom camera-control. This technology is applied to automatically detect and track people depending on the context. For instance, when someone is parking in a disabled parking place, the system is able to focus on the license plate first. Subsequently, the driver is tracked once he leaves the car. In that way, large areas can be secured with a very limited number of cameras. ViNotion is studying how these projects results could be added to the product portfolio.
